Ancient Firths and Modern Enterprise
Ross-shire spans from the fertile Black Isle peninsula on the Cromarty Firth to the wild Torridon mountains in the west, taking in Dingwall, Invergordon's deep-water port, and some of Scotland's finest whisky country.
The Cromarty Firth remains one of Scotland's key industrial zones with Invergordon serving oil & gas decommissioning and increasingly offshore wind fabrication. The Black Isle supports growing food and drink and tourism sectors.
Cromarty Firth Port Authority development support, Highlands & Islands Enterprise, Scottish Enterprise renewable energy grants.
